Youth Intervention Program (YIP)
Youth Intervention Program staff work with Hmong youth to increase their chances to achieve school and family success and decrease their likelihood of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. The program builds positive relationships with youth by providing one-on-one mentoring, along with positive cultural and educational activities. For youth who have already entered the juvenile justice system, services are offered on-site at Boy’s Totem Town in Saint Paul to provide services that will help youths, upon release, avoid re-incarceration. Parents who have youths in the program automatically receive parent support services.
