YouthLEAD
Program Description
The YouthLEAD program is designed to provide youth with necessary skill training and/or basic education opportunities that will prepare them for employment or post-secondary education. Services include providing assistance regarding development of career goals, exploration of post-secondary options, creation of a personalized Lifework Portfolio, leadership development opportunities, academic and mentor help. Caseworkers provide one-on-one counseling to youths enrolled in this program.
Eligibility/Criteria
Youth ages 14-18 or 19-21 who exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:

Is disabled
-
a foster child,
-
is basic skills deficient
-
son/daughter of drug/alcohol abuser,
-
limited English,
-
is in an offender/diversion program
-
potential dropout
-
chemically dependent
-
homeless/runaway
-
low income family
-
parent/pregnant
-
high school dropout
-
behind grade for age
