TRANSCEND is a culturally responsive advocacy program at Hmong American Partnership that provides survivors with the tools, resources, and support needed to break free from abuse and reclaim safety and independence.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or sexual violence, you are not alone. Our Family Advocates are here to help you create a personalized safety plan and connect you to life-changing services.


What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior—physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, or economic—used by one partner to exert power and control over another. It may include:

  • Intimidation or manipulation

  • Isolation from family or friends

  • Verbal threats or blame

  • Humiliation or financial control

All services are offered in English and Hmong and are provided with the utmost confidentiality and care.


Our Advocacy Services Include:

  • Crisis Intervention and Emotional Support

  • Personalized Safety Planning

  • One-on-One Case Management

  • Peer Support Groups

  • Culturally informed education on domestic and sexual violence

  • Guidance on the impact of abuse on children

  • Referrals to emergency shelters and housing resources

  • Assistance accessing legal aid and financial support programs
