Custom Job Trainings

HAP’s second cohort of the Salesforce Administration class — which runs from September 9th through November 11th — has 16 people interested and on the waiting list. The IT training that takes place at partner, Takoda – AIOIC, currently has 19 participants enrolled.

Our CNA program currently has five students enrolled (with an additional ten waiting) to start classes. There are three spots open for class starting on October 20th which takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 11:25 am. Online information sessions are being hosted.

This summer, we also had four students participate in the new HAP Academy OIC Clothing Store and entrepreneurship class that ended on July 30th. These students were able to experience the “Processor” role within the clothing store. We will be recruiting more young people for this program to resume in the fall. For more information on these programs click here or contact Meng Moua at mengm@hmong.org.

Chromebooks Available for Adult Basic Education Students!

HAP was able to provide Chromebooks for students to continue their classes virtually. Career and Job Training Manager Yer Yang is excited to implement a check-out process in order to loan computers to students so that they can have access to classes. Hot spots will also be purchased in order to help with technological gaps that students might be experiencing. This is a critical step that will make a significant difference for students in this program.
